Your health is important to us. That’s why we offer various workplace health measures to support you in your day-to-day work:

Eye examinations: At many locations, occupational health eye tests are carried out regularly.

Computer glasses: If you need computer glasses, we cover part of the cost.

Open consultation hours: During regular occupational health consultation hours, you can receive confidential advice on occupational health topics without needing an appointment.

Ergonomic consultation: As part of workplace inspections or upon request during the eye examination, we check whether your workstation is set up ergonomically and optimally for you.

Flexibility & Work-Life Integration

With our flexible working time model, you can freely arrange the start and end of your working day. This makes it easy to take care of personal appointments during the week without having to use vacation days. Mobile working from home is also possible – for example, if a repair appointment is scheduled or you need to pick up your child.

The important thing is that business needs are taken into account and team agreements are respected.

Our time value account also offers an attractive opportunity to take paid time off – whether for a sabbatical or early retirement. The account works like a personal working-time savings plan: you build up a credit balance through parts of your salary, which accrues interest and ensures full social security coverage during your leave.

Rest and recovery are important – that’s why, as a full-time employee, you are entitled to 30 days of annual vacation. That’s up to two weeks more than legally required and gives you plenty of space for travel, time off, or simply being at home. If you have a certified severe disability, you receive an additional 5 vacation days per year.

We also support you during special personal occasions: for certain events, you can receive additional paid special leave – so you can focus on what truly matters in life’s important moments.

To individually support the balance between work and caring for close relatives, new legal regulations have been in place since January 2015. These take into account the unique nature of every care situation and cover three areas: care support allowance for an absence of up to 10 working days, care leave for a period of up to six months, and family care leave, which allows for partial leave of up to 24 months.

Mobile working is part of everyday life for us. In addition, after completing your probation period, you can take advantage of the option to work temporarily from abroad as part of a workation. This is our way of offering greater flexibility and supporting a healthy balance between work and private life.

Development & Team Culture

The onboarding experience begins even before the first working day with the delivery of a starter kit. It includes helpful information about the company, personal insights, and everything you need to know about getting started – while also providing an initial professional orientation.

The official kickoff takes place during the mia Starter Days at our Frankfurt location. In a personal and welcoming atmosphere, new employees gain a comprehensive insight into our organization, meet other new joiners, and make their first connections. A shared dinner encourages informal exchange before the second day begins with a welcome from the executive board.

For joining the team, each new employee is supported by their respective manager, who, together with the project lead, ensures a smooth professional orientation. At the Analyst and Consultant levels, a buddy further supports the onboarding process – acting as a personal point of contact for organizational questions and settling into day-to-day work.

Those who wish to focus on individual development topics can participate in our mentoring program, mentor@mia.

Additionally, formats such as the Regional Networks, the Women’s Network, and other internal communities foster exchange across teams and locations.

Our own MIA curriculum was developed in collaboration with our education partner SKope and is continuously being expanded. It not only provides professional guidance but also actively supports personal development – practical, structured, and perfectly aligned with the realities of our consulting work.

In addition, we offer the mia Basic Trainings, in which experienced colleagues share foundational knowledge about projects and specialist topics.

Our meetings and events bring mianer from all areas together – creating opportunities for exchange that go beyond day-to-day business. They provide space to share insights, connect with one another, and think ahead together.
